Required qualifications:
- Minimum of a Master’s degree in occupational therapy
- Licensed in occupational therapy valid in the state of Michigan
- Licensed and registered through the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA)
- Pass a criminal background check
- A minimum of two years’ experience working with children and toddlers with special needs, and preferable autism, in the field of Occupational therapy
- Ability to work as a part of a multidisciplinary team with other professionals (e.g., behavior analysts, speech therapists, etc)
- Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and re-evaluations
- Develop plan of treatments for individual and group therapy, where applicable
- Appropriately complete documentation and session notes for patient evaluation and treatment
- Provide feedback and training for staff
- Communicate with families, physicians, and other interdisciplinary team members related to the patient
- Meet productivity standard for billable time and supervision
- Evaluate risk management and crisis management
- Develop and oversee transition/discharge plans
- May be required to oversee COTAs or OT interns
