Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Licensed in speech-language pathology valid in the State of Michigan
  • Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC)
  • Pass a criminal background check
  • A minimum of two years’ experience working with children and toddlers with special needs, and preferable autism, in the field of Speech-Language Pathology
  • Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team with other professionals (e.g., behavior analysts, occupational therapists)
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech-language assessments and evaluations
  • Develop plan of treatments for individual and group therapy, where applicable
  • Appropriately complete documentation and session notes for patient evaluation and treatment
  • Provide feedback and training for staff
  • Communicate with families, physicians, and other interdisciplinary team members related to the patient
  • Meet productivity standards for billable time and supervision
  • Evaluate risk management and crisis management
  • Develop and Oversee transition/discharge plans
  • May be required to provide training and supervision to clinical fellows
